15th Uhlan Regiment (Poland)


15th Uhlan Regiment (15 Pułk Ułanów Wielkopolskich). Formed by volunteers and took part in the fighting to re-create Poland from 1918. Named as 1st Uhlan regiment in Jan., 1919 and kept the banner with the old regiment name even though the regiment was rename the 15th Uhlan Regiment in early 1920.

Black Madonna of Częstochowa on the reverse side and the Polish eagle with the Poznań CoA on the obverse.  The four grey stripes in the middle of the flag are metal rings. The top is coarse canvas.
